Improved security when changing your username

Your account security is important to us – it's why we now require a verification code when changing your username in your personal account. Sound familiar? Yep, we use the same verification process when clients first create their personal account.

(Improvement) Client Billing

Give a rebate after an invoice has been created

Looking for a better way to apply and track credits on an invoice? ‘Give a rebate’ lets you reduce and credit the price on a specific invoice item after it’s been paid. You’ll be able to see if any discounts or rebates were applied to the item and you’ll know how much to reimburse your client if you need to. ‘Give a rebate’ is one of three different ways you can reduce price in SmartRec.

When it comes to navigating online, filters save you a ton of time. The new program and category filter in the store will help clients find what they’re looking for faster!

(Improvement) Staff Management

Filter by facility in staff schedules, & see staff location

If you need to know where your staff is, look no further than the Schedule subtab in Staff Management. Click the Filters button to sort by tag and facility or hover over staff in the calendar to see the location of the event they’re assigned to.

(Improvement) Reports

Renamed tab, columns & payment type labels

To improve clarity in our finance reports, we’re in the process of renaming several payment types, tabs and columns. The following reports have been updated so far:

  • Payment by item, Payment by ledger code, Breakdown of payments by ledger code, Breakdown of combined revenues and receipts, Breakdown of payments, Accounts deposit summary, Payment summary, Reconciliation, Reconciliation summary, End of shift 

Organizations that use formulas to bring SmartRec report data into custom Excel spreadsheets are encouraged to export those reports that are pertinent and compare them with their spreadsheets to identify tabs, columns and other labels that have been renamed. Here are the changes you can expect right now in one or more of these reports:

  • The 'Amilia Credit card' tab has been renamed to 'SmartRec Card Payment'
  • The 'Credit Card' column has been renamed to 'Payment Card'
  • The 'Type' column has been renamed to 'Payment Type'
  • Most Payment type labels have been renamed (e.g., Amilia eCheck is now called SmartRec eCheck)

In other news...

.NET Core Migration 

We've just completed migrating our platform from the .NET Framework application frame to .NET Core. This change will result in improved performance, reliability, and security in SmartRec. Although we do rigorous testing to minimize the impact on our clients, let us know at support@amilia.com if you notice any abnormalities so we can investigate right away.
